Manfred Gath (chairman of the employee council, employee representative),
Wilfried Glaum (business administrator, in 2003 retired CFO of Pfeiffer Vacuum),
Dr. Michael Oltmanns (attorney at law and tax advisor),
Götz Timmerbeil (tax advisor and certified public accountant),
re-appointed the Audit Committee at its meeting on May 31, 2006.

Götz Timmerbeil is a shareholder of Timmerbeil Wirtschaftsprüfungs- und Steuerberatungsgesellschaft in Gummersbach, Germany. Dr. Oltmanns is a partner in Menold Bezler Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft in Stuttgart, Germany, and Michael Anderson is Managing Director at UBS in New York, U.S.A.
Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG maintains no business relations whatsoever with the respective companies
of these individuals, i.e. no consulting is performed. It follows from this that all members are absolutely independent. In his function as a sworn certified public account and tax advisor, Chairman Götz Timmerbeil possesses the appropriate professional competence and can therefore be considered to be a “financial expert.”
