Manfred Bender (43), CEO, Master of Business Administration.
After completing his studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Giessen/Friedberg, Manfred Bender began his career at an international company with responsibilities in several business administration areas as well as in IT. Since 1998, Manfred Bender has held the position of Vice President of Finance and Controlling at Pfeiffer Vacuum. During this time he worked closely with the now retired CFO, Wilfried Glaum. Manfred Bender is married and has two children. In his leisure time he enjoys not only spending time with his family, but running marathons and skiing.
Dr. Matthias Wiemer (50), Member of the Executive Board, joined Pfeiffer Vacuum in October 2005.
He received his Mechanical Engineering degree and subsequently his Doctorate at the University of Hannover. Prior to joining Pfeiffer Vacuum, Dr. Wiemer worked in the fields of mechanical engineering for several industrial companies in the Saarland and Bavaria regions of Germany. He also held management positions in Research & Development, Production, and Sales. In his leisure time, he enjoys his horses and keeps fit with jogging and playing tennis.
